With the new triage system you will be required to telephone in the morning and our reception team will ask you the reason for your call. We ask as it helps the triage practitioner to prioritise your call based on need.  If you prefer not to disclose your medical problem, your privacy will always be respected. The reception team will add your name to a triage list.  Please ensure that we have your most up to date contact details. 

The Practitioner will call you to discuss your concern and has the ability to book you an appointment where appropriate. Appointments will be available in the morning or afternoon.  There will be a duty doctor on call for any further emergencies during the afternoon.   Recent patient feedback over the merger also indicated that not all patients wanted a face to face appointment and so the Practitioner will be able to deal with some of your concerns over the telephone.

Our system also offers a combination of pre-bookable appointments for non-urgent issues. An appointment with a GP will be allocated to you for 15 minutes and is intended for one person only, if you have more than one medical issue that you need to discuss, please book a double appointment.

We are able to provide appointments with our multi-skilled team, it is therefore important that you book with the appropriate clinician.

If you need a medication review or are suffering from a minor ailment, please book an appointment with our clinical pharmacist.

If you require an annual review regarding a long term condition such as diabetes or asthma, please book an appointment with one of our nursing team.

We appreciate that it can be difficult to contact the surgery at peak times and would encourage you to register for our on-line appointment booking service. The booking site is easy to use and we are adding more appointments for all of our clinical staff every week.

Please note that all calls to and from the surgery are recorded for training and monitoring purposes. 

If you have provided us with your mobile phone number, you will receive a text message the evening before your appointment by way of reminder. It is important that you ensure we are holding your correct contact information.

Walk In Blood Clinics

We currently hold walk in blood clinics every week day morning from 8.30 am until 11 am at our Stockett Lane based Surgery.  You do not need to book an appointment, you can just arrive when is convenient and sit and wait and we will try very hard to ensure that you are not kept too long. 

Cancelling Appointments

If you are unable to keep your appointment or no longer need it, please let us know as soon as possible. If you fail to attend and haven’t cancelled, you have prevented someone else from being seen in your place.

Out of Hours

If you require advice or need to see a GP when the surgery is closed, please dial 111, where NHS 111 will be able to assist you. We will be informed the following day of any treatment you have been given.
